What Marcus Knows: Vehicle information you provide, symptoms and questions you describe, your conversation history within the session

How We Use Location: Only when you initiate a local store search, to find nearby automotive retailers, to estimate shipping times

How You Opt In: You opt in to receive SMS messages from Kanupi through a web form on Kanupi.com. When submitting a vehicle/parts request, appointment request, inspection request, or customer support request, you may enter your phone number and select an optional, unchecked SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox states that you agree to receive service-related SMS messages from Kanupi about your request, appointment or inspection updates, and customer support conversations. Consent to receive SMS is optional and is not required to use Kanupi, create an account, submit a request, or make a purchase. You may also opt in directly at kanupi.com/text-alerts.
What We Collect: When you provide your mobile phone number, we collect: the phone number itself, the timestamp and source of your opt-in, your IP address and browser user-agent at the time of opt-in, and the content of any SMS replies you send to our number (e.g., "STOP", "HELP", "START", or other inbound messages).
How We Use It:
Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your active requests, appointments, and support conversations.
Carrier Charges: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile service plan. Kanupi does not charge for these messages.
SMS Service Provider: We use Twilio to deliver SMS. Twilio processes phone numbers, message content, and delivery metadata on our behalf under their privacy policy. We do not sell or share SMS subscriber phone numbers, opt-in data, or message content with third parties for marketing purposes.
How to Opt Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from Kanupi. We will mark you as unsubscribed in our records and stop sending non-essential messages. You may also reply HELP to receive help information, or contact privacy@kanupi.com to request removal.
How to Re-Subscribe: Reply START to any prior Kanupi number, or submit a new opt-in at kanupi.com/text-alerts.
Mobile Information Sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or appointment dispatch, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
